This paper presents the author Rhonda Byrne and her works in the context of the role of human thoughts in the daily life. Special attention is paid to her work The Secret as it represents the foundation which makes it possible to construct her teaching from. Also, this paper explores the reception of The Secret in the former Yugoslav countries.
Intelligent manufacturing plays an important role in Industry 4.0. Key technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics (BDA), the internet of things (IoT), cyber-physical systems (CPSs), and cloud computing enable intelligent manufacturing systems (IMS). Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an essential role in IMS by providing typical features such as learning, reasoning, acting, modeling, intelligent interconnecting, and intelligent decision making. Artificial intelligence's impact on manufacturing is involved in Industry 4.0 through big data analytics, predictive maintenance, data-driven system modeling, control and optimization, human-robot collaboration, and smart machine communication. The recent advances in machine and deep learning algorithms combined with powerful computational hardware have opened new possibilities for technological progress in manufacturing, which led to improving and optimizing any business model.
Improvements in energy efficiency in Industry 4.0 is the main imperative in manufacturing. An important challenge in many fields of complex industrial processes is energy-efficient optimization. The basic idea of the energy efficiency optimization algorithm is to find the optimal assigned value of process parameters to achieve the lowest energy cost and the best working conditions. Applying the multi-objective approach for solving real industry optimization problems is a challenging task. Therefore, this chapter provides an overview of the most significant issues in multi-objective optimization problem. Improving energy efficiency with the multi-objective optimization has opened new opportunities for technological progress in Industry 4.0.
The aim of this research was to examine physicochemical parameters of finished and semi-finished meat products: minced meat (beef, pork and mixed meat) and raw formed meat products (ćevapi, patties/burgers and sujuk sausages), and to determine quality parameters of these products on the Bosnia and Herzegovina market. Examined parameters included: protein content, fat, collagen in meat proteins and salt (NaCl). We analysed 282 samples of these products and found deviations with regard to the applicable Ordinance on minced meat and semi-finished and finished meat products of “The Law on Food of Bosnia and Herzegovina” in all parameters, except salt (NaCl). The majority of deviations referred to the content of collagen in meat proteins, with as much as 21.98 % of examined samples in violation of the applicable legislation.
Abstract Simultaneous adsorption of heavy metals in complex multi metal system is insufficiently explored. This research gives results of key process parameters optimization for simultaneous removal of Cd(II), Co(II), Cr(III), Cu(II), Mn(II), Ni(II) and Pb(II) from aqueous solution (batch system). New lemon peel-based biomaterial was prepared and characterized by infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transformation (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), while the quantification of metals was made by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). Simultaneous removal of seven metals ions was favorable at pH 5 with 300 mg/50 mL solid-liquid phase ratio, within 60 min at room temperature with total obtained adsorption capacity of 46.77 mg g−1. Kinetic modeling showed that pseudo-second order kinetic and Weber-Morris diffusion models best describe the adsorption mechanism of all seven heavy metals onto lemon peel.
Abstract Around the world, there are varieties of healthcare systems, each with its own characteristics and organizational structure according to national resources, requirements, and needs. Bearing this in mind it is very difficult to give a general definition for the healthcare system. Basically, it can be defined as a normatively accepted system of society and government in protecting and improving the population health, with all system factors affecting organized and constantly evolving as part of a general country social system. Each healthcare system consists of medical institutions which in addition to personnel and infrastructure must possess the necessary equipment in order to perform the correct diagnosis and treatment of their patients. In addition to the knowledge and experience of medical doctors, inpatient diagnosis and treatment, it is necessary to have the correct and tested medical apparatus. Diversity and innovativeness of medical devices, as a result of the evolving field of biomedical engineering, significantly contribute to improvement in quality and efficiency of healthcare services
Abstract Intensive care units are run and staffed by specialists trained in intensive care. Once a patient is admitted to the unit, the intensive care team will manage the care of the patient in consultation with the original team that admitted the patient to the hospital and any other specialists that they think can help to aid the patient’s recovery. The intensive care doctors and nurses will give the best overview and general update on the patient, but they may refer relatives to the specialist teams for discussion of certain aspects of care.
Abstract This chapter will show the extent to which the introduction of medical devices into legal metrology has affected the accuracy and effectiveness of 10 medical devices. Medical devices that are introduced into the legal metrology system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as of 2015 are: ECG, defibrillator, patient monitor, infusion pumps, perfusors, respirators, anesthesia machines, dialysis machines, neonatal and pediatric incubators, and therapeutic ultrasound. It is extremely important that medical devices work properly and precisely, because analysis, interpretations, prints, and reports are formed from these basic measurements through data processing and calculation, based on which doctors draw conclusions, diagnose, and determine the course of treatment. The development of medical devices is an extremely complex process and is subject to a large number of directives, standards, and recommendations that the device must meet in terms of functionality and, in particular, safety, depending on the purpose of the device. This chapter outlines the role of inspection of medical devices to increase accuracy and efficiency in Bosnia and Herzegovina over a period of 3 years. The analysis is based on data collected in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period of January 1, 2015 until December 31, 2017. This was collected through an online software to monitor the status of inspection of legal benchmarks in health care. In this analysis, the quality of the work of nine medical devices (infusion pumps and perfusors are viewed together) was measured over a period of 3 years (2015–17) in order to determine the efficiency of the device by monitoring the number of accurate or faulty devices individually and for all devices together. The data are collected in an Excel file and statistical analyses are made in that file. In the inferential statistical analysis, conclusions regarding the differences were made at the usual level of significance of 0.05, that is, a confidence level of 95%.
Abstract Pediatric and neonate incubators today are more sophisticated than the first prototypes but basic functions remained the same. They provide controlled environmental conditions needed to treat prematurely born infants who are not able to endure all the conditions outside the womb or infants born with certain diseases or health conditions.
