The Zero emissions concept envisages all industrial inputs being used in final products or converted into value-added inputs for other industries or processes. In this way, industries are reorganized into clusters such that each industry's wastes / by-products are fully matched with the input requirements of another industry, and the integrated whole produces no waste of any kind. This technique is based on the well-established economic analysis tool known as the input/output approach. In the framework of the zero emission concept capture of CO2 plays an important role. CO2 can be captured and permanently stored, or it can be re-used. Carbon sequestration is a two-step process where the capture of CO2 from a gas stream is followed by its permanent storage. The capture step contributes 75% to the overall carbon sequestration process cost. For this reason, the scientific community has paid a great attention to the development of new processes for CO2 capture. Currently, there is a wide range of technologies to separate CO2 from gas streams. They are based on different physical and chemical processes including absorption, adsorption, cryogenics and membrane technology. The choice of a suitable technology depends on the characteristics of the flue gas stream and, as a consequence, on the power plant technology. As an alternative to conventional process es for CO2 separation and capture, membrane technology shows great potentiality for CO2 capture owing to its easy applicability, efficiency, flexibility, ability to maintain high CO2 pressure and to perform separations at low energy penalties. CO2-selective membranes allow separation of CO2 from different gas streams, such as: flue gas (post-combustion system), natural gas (natural gas processing) and hydrogen (pre-combustion systems) or oxygen from nitrogen (in an oxyfuel combustion system). In the framework of zero emission concept, this paper gives an overview and analysis of the types of membranes used and membrane technology application in CO2 capture from the point of cost and energy consumption.
On two dairy cows farms Holstein-Friesian breed in South Backa district survey was conducted. A total of 82 cows were examined and 328 individual mammary complexes. The appearance of the teat end was assessed after milking by adspection method. From 328 examined mammary complexes, 209 (63.72%) were with changes on teat end, of which 71 (21.65%) papilla was with lesions at the top. 119 or 36.28% teat end of cows udders of were unchanged. Those results indicate the existence of various exogenous factors that may be detrimental to the structure to the papilla, which is considered the first line of defense udder.
The manufacturer of pregabalin has a second use patent covering prescribing for neuropathic pain: its principal indication. The manufacturer has threatened legal action in the UK if generic pregabalin rather than Lyrica is prescribed for this indication. No problems exist for practitioners who prescribe pregabalin for epilepsy or generalized anxiety disorder. This has serious implications for health authorities. In Germany, however, generics could be legally prescribed for any approved indication once one indication loses its patent. We aim to establish the current situation with pregabalin among principally European countries. Personnel from 33 regional and national health authorities mainly from Europe, and nine from universities across Europe working as advisers to health authorities or with insight into their activities, were surveyed regarding four specific questions via email to shed light on the current situation with Lyrica and pregabalin in their country. The information collated from each country was subsequently checked for accuracy with each co-author by email and face-to-face contact and collated into five tables. The scenarios ranged from extending the patent life of Lyrica (e.g. France), endorsing the prescribing of Lyrica for neuropathic pain (e.g. Catalonia and South Korea), and current prescribing of pregabablin for all indications (e.g. Serbia and Germany). Little activity has taken place in European countries in which generic pregabalin is not yet reimbursed. The availability of generic pregabalin has prompted a number of different activities to be undertaken among the 33 countries and regions surveyed. The situation in Serbia and the historic situation in Germany provide examples of ways to maximize savings once a product loses its patent for at least one indication.
Aneurysm of the visceral arteries is a rare condition and it represents around 1% of all arterial aneurisms. Aneurysm of the inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery represents around 2% of all visceral aneurysms. Aneurysm associated with occlusion of the coeliac trunk is very rare condition and there are only about 40 cases presented in the literature. In our study, we presented 56 year-old female admitted to hospital with obstructive jaundice. CT scan diagnosed tumor of the head of pancreas and CT angiography confirmed aneurysm of the inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery which was successfully operated at our clinic.
Planning of the modern manufacturing systems that would be suitable for the most demanding cutting processes requires analysis of all technical and technological process parameters by applying scientific methods, modeling and optimal conditions of machining process and systems defining. In order to secure the planned functioning of machine tools they need to be sufficiently resistant and stable at all influences which are exposed in the cutting process. Because high number of influence factors to the cutting process, it is very difficulty to determine most influence parameters of the cutting process by analytical model. For this reason it is necessary to apply the experimental measurements and analysis of the results which will be used for creating fudantion for cutting force identification and which is indispensable in the development of new machine tools and improving existing machining systems. Objective of this paper is to find mathematical algorithm of tool holder acceleration aNA = f(σz, v, δ) in function of machined material strength, cutting velocity and depth of cut. Experimental investigation of tool holder acceleration during turning process has done for three different types of steel: 9SMn28, S355JOG3 and C45E.
