The realization of modern business, activities and projects poses increasing demands and challenges to project managers. Therefore, modern project management practices are inconceivable without the help of project management software. This paper describes and compares the most commonly used project management software with emphasis on the need for careful selection based on the required software features and other criteria such as software price, necessary implementation time and education of future users and an example of Microsoft Project application in project planning.
The state of the system on which urban mobility in Bosnia and Herzegovina in all cities depends is unsatisfactory and requires a detailed analysis of the situation and an assessment of the trend in relation to the strategic directions of development in the world. Public transport of passengers is designated as an extremely important system for establishing sustainable mobility. The paper identifies key information that reflects the trend of development of public urban transport in the world and analyzes the state of public urban passenger transport at the level of the city of Sarajevo. The transport policy of the City of Sarajevo is analyzed and its commitment to be based on the principles of sustainable development and innovations in transport, transport and communication technology. The origin of the oxytocin (OT)/vasopressin (VP) signaling system is thought to date back more than 600million years. OT/VP-like peptides have been identified in numerous invertebrate phyla including molluscs, annelids, nematodes and insects. However, to date we only have a limited understanding of the biological role(s) of this GPCR-mediated signaling system in insects. This chapter presents the current knowledge of OT/VP-like neuropeptide signaling in insects by providing a brief overview of insect OT/VP-like neuropeptides, their genetic and structural commonalities, and their experimentally tested and proposed functions. Despite their widespread occurrence across insect orders these peptides (and their endogenous receptors) appear to be absent in common insect model species, such as flies and bees. We therefore explain the known functionalities of this signaling system in three different insect model systems: beetles, locusts, and ants. Additionally, we review the phylogenetic distribution of the OT/VP signaling system in arthropods as obtained from extensive genome/transcriptome mining. Finally, we discuss the unique challenges in the development of selective OT/VP ligands for human receptors and share our perspective on the possible application of insect- and other non-mammalian-derived OT/VP-like peptide ligands in pharmacology.
: This paper presents the authentication method using the Delaunay triangulation incremental algorithm and the Catalan objects. The proposed method is a combination of computational geometry and cryptography. This method presents a new step towards encoding the triangle coordinates using the Catalan-key. We provided specific suggestions for the application of this method in the authentication for bank clients by the image encryption. Client authentication verification is performed by asking the client to enter the (x,y) coordinate values of randomly selected indices of an array. If the entered coordinates match the index values in the banking system array, then the transaction or other operation is approved. If the matching fails, it means that we have an unidentified person who has followed the whole process and wants to break into the banking system. There are many advantages arising from a scenario for the user authentication by the assigned Catalan object and the stack permutation method. Also, we provided concrete examples for the Delaunay encryption of image with an authentication scenario and experimental results for the proposed method.
The article presents research about the use of genetic algorithms in the analysis of the interrelation among curriculum courses in higher education. The authors used genetic algorithms as a method to analyse the influence that achieved grades in predictors' courses have on achieved grades in dependent courses as well as to observe whether the genetic algorithms can contribute to improving the curriculum. The research was based on a set of data related to the success of students from the Faculty of Information Technologies at the University 'Džemal Bijediae' in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim was to anticipate students' grades based on the grades they obtained in previous semester's courses. This research should help educational institutions to evaluate the suitability of the sequence of courses within the curriculum in order to enable personalized learning paths, make the teaching processes more efficient, and promote a balanced curriculum. Namely, a good curriculum can attract new students, improve the success rate of enrolled students, and increase the quality and visibility of the institution. Since the genetic algorithm is search techniques for handling complex spaces, we can use it for the research at each stage of the educational process. Analyses of quantitative data using a genetic algorithm can help educational institutions improve the quality of teaching.
