Renaming of the Odontogenic Keratocyst as the Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor by the World Health Organization (WHO) is based on the aggressive nature of this lesion. Satellite cysts founded in the walls of the original cysts may give rise to a new lesion formation. The aim of this retrospecitve study was to identify the existence of specific features according incidence of satellite cysts and the pallisading of the basal layer of the epithelium and to establish their mutual correlation. The histopathologic data of Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor on the basis of new WHO's classification (2005) were analized. Prominent palisade basal cell layer was found in 415 (94.75%) and partially absent palisade basal cell layer in 23 (5.25%) cases. Satellite cysts were presented in prominent palisade basal cell layer in 85 specimens (20.5%) and in cases with partial absent of the palisade basal layer in 3 spicemens (13%). The higher the frequency of pallisading was the higher the frequency of satellite cysts was (p > 0.05).

Aims: This study explores the total quantity of sulfur secondary metabolites in the plant organs of garlic and ramsons, the content of total phenol and their correlation to the antioxidant capacity (AOC). There are different reports about correlation of secondary

Contact lenses suffer from two limitations: low oxygen permeability and deposition of protein and lipids. In order to prevent bioadhesion, surface must be completely inert to all biological reactions. To achieve this, surface properties must be tailored. Also, to improve comfort, surface must be highly wettable and lubricous. In this paper the surface of silicone contact lenses was modified by plasma induced copolymerization of acrylic acid. A wettable surface was generated and in addition carboxyl groups that were created on the surface provided an ideal reactive platform for subsequent grafting of polyethylene glycol. Each surface modification step was analysed by XPS and contact angle measurements. Lysozyme adsorption on modified silicone contact lenses was analysed by surface-MALDI-ToF-MS and XPS. After incubation with lysozyme, surface-MALDI-TOF-MS and XPS analysis showed a reduction of adsorbed lysozyme on hydrogel modified contact lenses. Surface modification of silicone with PEG is a method for reduction of protein adsorption on contact lenses.

Poles of partial wave scattering matrices in hadron spectroscopy have recently been established as a sole link between experiment and QCD theories and models. Karlsruhe-Helsinki (KH) partial wave analyses have been ``above the line'' in the Review of Particle Physics (RPP) for over three decades. The RPP compiles Breit-Wigner (BW) parameters from local BW fits, but give only a limited number of pole positions using speed plots (SP). In the KH method only Mandelstam analyticity is used as a theoretical constraint, so these partial wave solutions are as model independent as possible. They are a valuable source of information. It is unsatisfactory that BW parameters given in the RPP have been obtained from the KH80 solution, while pole parameters have been obtained from the KA84 version. To remedy this, we have used a newly developed Laurent + Pietarinen expansion method to obtain pole positions for all partial waves for KH80 and KA84 solutions. We show that differences from pole parameters are, with a few exceptions, negligible for most partial waves. We give a full set of pole parameters for both solutions.

This paper analyzes how oral production is developed in an English textbook for the 6th grade approved by the “PNLD”, from the perspectives of genre (socio-discursive and sociorhetorical approaches) and new literacy studies, evaluating its adequacy for the efficient use of oral genres.
