The Tomašica grave-site near Prijedor in the north of Bosnia is reported to be the largest primary mass grave discovered thus far relating to the 1992-95 war. A total of 275 complete bodies and 125 body parts were exhumed from it in 2013. Post mortem examinations of the victims showed that nearly all had died from gunshot injuries but an additional striking feature was the degree of preservation of many of the bodies, even 21 years on, with skin, soft tissues and internal organs still present in abundance and gross structures clearly identifiable. Histology was performed on 68 samples of soft tissue from a total 13 bodies, on both skin and internal organs, and the degree of preservation was assessed in terms of the ability to recognize microscopic structure. Further comparison was made with samples taken a month or so later (56 tissue samples from 9 bodies, all but one different from the first group), after the bodies had been covered in salt as a means of general preservation. Generally, at a microscopic level, skin and subcutaneous tissues were better preserved than internal organs, while tissues sampled at the time of autopsy were better preserved than those sampled weeks later.

There are different methodologies for identification of fuzzy duplicate records in the process of data cleaning for data warehouse and data mining. The methodologies for duplicate record identification can be classified into three groups: blocking methods, windowing methods, and semantic methods. The article specifically focuses on semantic methods and describes Semantic-Syntactic Method for fuzzy duplicate record identification. Based on the conducted testing, comparative analysis is presented of the results obtained through the Semantic-Syntactic Method and two other standard methods over a selected data set. In the end, the article presents conclusions with regard to the quality and efficiency of the Semantic-Syntactic Method, as well as suggestions for future research in this field.

This chapter deals with the influence of the electric field on a Medium Voltage Indoor Post Insulator (MVIPI) with standard and modified external shapes . The goal of this chapter is to show the electric field behavior of the MVIPI with different external shapes and to introduce a numerical model with a favorable distribution of the electric field that relieves the dielectric from stress. The chapter describes an MVIPI with nominal voltage 20 kV AC and shows an existing MVIPI, an MVIPI with a different number of ribs, and an MVIPI with exceptional external shape. The MVIPI’s new external shape does not have the typical shape of the ribs, but a new outline, using the Lagrange polynomial, that will acquire its optimal form through the optimization process. A Differential Evolution optimization algorithm is used for the optimal design of the insulator’s external shape. The value of the Electric Field Strength (EFS) will be mini - mized within the permissible bounds during the optimization process. The important parameters during the minimization of the objective function are the value of the EFS in the interior and exterior of the insulator. EFS values are shown for every MVIPI example and are compared with the existing MVIPI. The obtained results are analyzed and discussed.

The need for the development methodology of software product is a consequence of the increasing use of software product based on Web engineering, as well as the need for such product is in accordance with scientific requirements and the rules of software engineering. This paper deals with the development methodology of software product based on Web engineering, development approaches, certain specifics in development, functional requirements, as well as the life cycle of modern Web application. The paper shows the use of Web engineering, development environment and development tools for Web applications. It gives an overview of the project team, who are members of the project team, what skills, knowledge and competencies are necessary for a successful Web project. The methodology is applied to a concrete software product.

The paper describes a method for the temperature coefficient identification for a covered overhead conductor. Numerical and real models of the conductor were used in the paper. The numerical model is made using the Finite Element Method, and contains the material’s temperature characteristics and boundary condition values. The real model presents a part of the covered overhead conductor, on which were mounted thermoelements to measure the temperature in laboratory conditions. The optimization algorithm Differential Evolution (DE) was used to identify the temperature coefficient in order to achieve minimum difference of the temperatures between the two models. The classic algorithm DE is compared to two improved DE algorithms, with dynamic changing of the population size during the optimization process. The two improved DE algorithms are: the DE algorithm with half-reducing of the population, and the DE algorithm with linear-reducing of the population. The results of all three algorithms are compared, and the most favourable choice of algorithm is given for such temperature coefficient calculations.
