Distibution of Some Group-Specific Characters in a Sample of Persons With Progressive Muscular Dystrophy
It has been established that the distribution of basic MN blood groups and secretion (ABH antigens) phenotypes in the sample of Progressive muscular dystrophy patients (Special Hospital for Myopathic and Rheumatic Diseases, Fojnica — Bosnia and Herzegovina — Yugoslavia) differs significantly from the general population, showing an excess of M-antigen and nonsecretor phenotypes. No such differences have been found however with regard to the distributions of the basic ABO blood groups and PTC tasting phenotypes.
