Recent structural fabric of the Dinarides and tectonically active zones important for petroleum-geological exploration in Croatia
Data on dynamics of the recent structural fabric were collected as part of the search for structures favorable for further petroleum-geological exploration. Key data were acquired by structural/geological mapping in the field, while additional by other surface and subsurface data sources. Firstly, the orientation of the stress field was determined (Fig. 1), followed by the basic analysis of the structural fabric with contouring of compressional structures (Fig. 2). The types of structures are especially Illustrated (Figs. 3, 4), together with their displacements and amplitudes of the recent tectonic movements (Fig. 5). Certain areas In classifications of the structures stand out - between the islands of Lastovo and Mljet, and Dubrovnik; between the Islands of Hvar and Korcula and the PelJesac peninsula; between the Kornati islands and island of Vis; as well as between Drills, Sibenik and Trogir, and the Islands of Solta and Brac. It is pointed out that there are compresslonal structures around the Kvarner islands, in the region of Bukovica, and between Slunj and Bosiljevo.
