Autobioassay in the Quality Control of Drugs
Autobioassay can be used in analyses of drug effects in two ways. It can be used as an instrument or as a place of drug activity. In the first case it can replace a lacking apparatus and in the second case it can show the effect of drugs that could not otherwise be recorded. By autobioassay on isolated organs an analysis of exogenously added drugs is meant with a simultaneous stimulation of pertaining motor nerves. By applying autobioassay with isolated tissues vivisection can be avoided, especially the one done by repetition, to satisfy certain standards. The described IIO can be used in analyses of neurotransmission and cotransmission. Autobioassay can be used in the quality control of drug effects.
